LINGERIE CARE

LINGERIE CARE:

Lingerie means women’s underwear and nightclothes. We all have a wardrobe full of different kinds of clothes. We take care of them according to their colour and fabric. Our lingeries or undergarments to need special care. Unhygienic undergarments are not good for our health. We need to clean and store these lingeries in a special way. If we take good care of our lingerie it will last for a longer period.
How will we take proper care of our favourite lingerie?
Here are a few ways to help you.
·     It is better not to wash lingerie in the washing machine. It is better to hand wash undergarments as its fabric is much softer than other garments. If you really can’t help it and wash those in the washing machine then surely use a lingerie bag, which is now available in the market and doesn’t cost much.
·     For silk lingerie, it is always advisable to dry wash it or wash with mild soap with hand. No hot water.
·     Use mild detergent to wash your favourite lingerie.
·     If there is any instruction for washing in the lingerie tag, please try to follow it.
·     Always use mild liquid detergent and cold water to wash lingerie. Warm or hot water is a total no-no.
·     In general, lingeries are colourfast even though it is advisable to wash deep and lighter shades separately.
·     Since lingerie doesn’t become that untidy there is no point soaking it before wash.
·     Never use bleach, instead use vinegar or lemon if required to wash white lingerie.
·     Never ever tumble dry your undergarments. Moulded bras loose its shape if dried in a washing machine dryer.
·     It is best to dry lingerie under the Sun or in the open air.
Now let us talk about lingerie storage:
Washing and drying are done, now its time to store them properly. We should never keep lingerie with other garments. It should be kept separately so that one can find it on time and get the matching pair. In a drawer or lingerie bags, stack all your lingerie especially padded and wired bra should be kept in a row properly folded so that it retains its shape.
