RAINY SEASON SNACKS


HEALTHY OATS CHEELA:  


Prep time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 15 minutes
Serves: 4
INGREDIENTS:
§  Oats: 11/2 cups (grinded into powder)
§  Besan: ½ cup
§  Onion: 1 (finely chopped)
§  Green chili: 2 (finely chopped)
§  Carrot: 1(finely grated)
§  Ginger:  1tsp (finely grated)
§  Coriander leaves: 2 Tbsps.
§  Cumin powder: 1tsp
§  Ajwain (Carom seed): ½ tsp
§  Chaat masala: 1 tsp
§  Salt to taste
§  Oil or Ghee for frying
§  Water as required
METHOD:
§  Grind the oats into powder form.
§  In a big bowl mix powdered oats and besan.
§  Add grated carrot, onion, green chili, ginger, cumin powder, carom seeds, coriander leaves, chaat masala, salt to taste.
§  Now add water to make a smooth batter.
§  Heat a pan and grease it with some oil or ghee.
§  Pour 1 ladle of batter and spread it nicely.
§  Now apply little oil or ghee around the edges of the batter.
§  Cook it in low flame.
§  When it starts to separate from the pan it indicates one side is done.
§  Flip it and cook the other side too the same way.
§  Make all the cheelas with rest of the batter.
§  Serve it hot with some green chutney or tomato sauce.
