DESSERT: INSTANT MALPUA

INSTANT MALPUA: for the festive season


PREP TIME:20 MINUTES
COOK TIME: 12 MINS
SERVES: 10

INGREDIENTS:
Maida: 1 cup
Milk Powder: 1/2 cup
Semolina/Suji/Rava: 2tbsp
Fennel/Mouri/Saunf: 1/2 tsp
Milk: 1 cup
Dry fruits chopped(optional)
Oil for frying
For sugar syrup:
Sugar: 1 cup
Water: 1/2 cup
Elaichi/ Cardamom Powder: 1/2 tsp

METHOD:

  • In a big bowl pour dry ingredients maida, milk powder, suji, and crushed saunf.
  • Pour 1 cup milk in the big bowl and mix it well, if required add a little more milk.
  • Make a smooth thick yet running consistency batter.
  • Rest the batter for about 15 minutes.
  • Now heat oil for deep frying.
  • Oil should be medium hot.
  • Pour the batter with a ladle in the hot oil.
  • When one side is properly fried, flip over and cook the other side too.
  • Drain the oil properly and dip it in warm sugar syrup which is already made.
  • Soak both sides 5 minutes each till it absorbs sugar syrup properly.
  • Your instant malpua is ready to serve, sprinkle some chopped dry fruits if u wish to.
