LIPS

CARE FOR YOUR LIPS:

Since winter is approaching we need to take a little more care of our lips. We must care for our lips the whole year as it increases the face value.

FOUR GOLDEN RULES TO BE FOLLOWED:

  1. DRINK ENOUGH WATER.
  2. NO LICKING OR BITTING.
  3. CLEANSE, EXFOLIATE, AND MOISTURIZE.
  4. CHANGE YOUR LIPSTICK.

CLEANSING:
Take any make-up remover and remove the lip colour then clean it thoroughly with any cleanser.
EXFOLIATE:
Take a little petroleum jelly(any brand)and a pinch of sugar on a dry and clean soft-bristled toothbrush, now gently brush your lips for a few seconds. Then wipe it with a soft towel or tissue.
CONDITION:
Put a thick layer of lip balm, preferably Beeswax or glycerine mixed with vitamin C and E  in your lips. Lemon juice will provide Vitamin C and Evion 200 for Vitamin E.
LIPSTICKS:
Alternate lipsticks from time to time. using one kind of lipstick may cause harm especially the matte ones. Matte shades tend to have more pigmentation and lesser moisture, but non-matte lipsticks help to retain moisture, so one must keep interchanging lipsticks.
ANTI-AGING:
With growing age, annoying lip lines develop and we get the cracky effect of the lipstick. One must keep using lip care products with Vitamin E and retinol. Since lips have very little melanin, they have no natural defense mechanism against the sun. make a habit to put SPF lip balm under your lipstick and reapply frequently during the day. Nowadays lipstick with SPF is also available which can be also opted.
LIP BITTING:
Please don't bite your lips, no matter how nervous you are. The skin in the lips lacks an outer layer of protection that the entire body skin has, so it can be broken, making it prone to infection. Licking the lips also make lips rough and prone to chapping. Our saliva evaporates and pulls the moisture from the lips if it is licked or bitten.  Smoking accelerates the formation of vertical lines around the mouth.
