STIR-FRY NOODLES

STIR-FRY NOODLES: This recipe is easy to prepare and makes an ideal supper dish. Helpful during festival time, one can cook just this and have it as a one-pot meal. Prep time: 20 mins Cook time:15 mins Serves: 6 INGREDIENTS: Fine egg noodles:500grms Peanut oil:6Tbsps Onion:2 (finely chopped) Garlic cloves: 4 (finely chopped) Green chilli: 2 (deseeded and sliced ) Green chilli paste:1tsp Pork or chicken or mutton:200 grams (finely sliced) Celery:2 sticks sliced Cabbage: 1/4 small, finely shredded Light soy sauce:1TBsp Prawn:150 grams(shelled and deveined) Salt and Pepper according to taste. METHOD: Soak the noodles in hot water for 5 minutes, until they are soft. Rinse in cold water and drain thoroughly in a colander. Heat oil in a wok or kadhai and stir-fry the onion, garlic, and chili till onion is just golden brown. Add chili paste and stir well. Add the pork or chicken or mutton pcs, celery  and cabbage and stir fry for 3 min

PRAWN AND EGG FRIED RICE

MAIN COURSE RECIPE(one-pot meal): PREP TIME: 20 mins COOK TIME: 15mins SERVES: 6 PRAWN AND EGG FRIED RICE  INGREDIENTS: Long grain rice:500 grams Eggs: 3 Small Prawns: 200 grams Onion: 1 (large,chopped) Garlic: 4 cloves(chopped0 Peas: 60 grams Spring onions: 2(chopped) Oil: 4 Tbsps Soya sauce: 2 Tbsps Salt: as per taste Pepper: as per taste METHOD: First, wash the rice and cook it as you feel till it is 80% cooked, then rinse the cooked rice with cold water and separate the grains with a fork. Beat the eggs with a pinch of salt and keep aside. Heat 1 Tbsp of oil in a frying pan or kadhai (wok) cook the spring onions and the onions till it is soft. Pour the eggs and stir gently, until it is set and cooked, remove the eggs and keep aside. Heat the rest of the oil then fry the chopped garlic, prawn and peas for 2 to 3 mins. Then add the cooked rice and stir and mix it slowly, this time add the soya sauce, salt, and pepper and mix it well.  Your one-pot mea

DIWALI CLEANING:  FLOOR CARE- Just before festivals we all deep clean our house, declutter everything possible dresses, utensils, papers, etc. If the floor of a house is sparkle clean, the house looks more clean and tidy Every house has different flooring, some have marble flooring, some tiles and some have wooden ones, and etc. One must know different flooring requires different treatment to keep it clean. Don't worry here are some handy tips to make your work easier to keep your floor clean and well maintained. MARBLE  FLOOR: Any mark on the marble floor looks horrible. Not to worry there is a solution to the clean floor. Never scrub the marble floor harshly rather wipe off with a soft wet cloth or mop. Never wipe in a circular motion, if you do that it spoils the shine of the floor.
